Whapi.Cloud DialogFlow Integration Privacy Policy

Whapi.Cloud DialogFlow Integration Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 14, 2024.

At Whapi.Cloud, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains how we manage information related to our integration with Google’s DialogFlow service, which allows our users to create and manage NLP-powered bots on WhatsApp using the Whapi.Cloud API. Please read this policy carefully to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information in this context.

1. Overview of DialogFlow Integration

Whapi.Cloud’s integration with DialogFlow allows customers to connect their DialogFlow agents to WhatsApp through our API, facilitating natural language processing and automated responses within WhatsApp chats. This integration is powered by Google’s DialogFlow, which processes user input and provides AI-driven responses.

As part of this integration, we do not store or retain any message content between the user and the bot. All message processing, including the natural language understanding (NLU) and response generation, is handled by Google’s DialogFlow, in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Whapi.Cloud does not store any of the following types of data when you use the DialogFlow integration:

  • Message Content: Messages exchanged between WhatsApp users and the DialogFlow bot are not stored on Whapi.Cloud servers. These messages are transmitted through the WhatsApp API and processed by DialogFlow directly.
  • User Data: We do not collect or retain any personally identifiable information (PII) from your WhatsApp users. DialogFlow handles all interactions with users in accordance with its own privacy policy.
  • Bot Conversations: Conversations between users and your DialogFlow bot are processed on the fly and not stored by Whapi.Cloud.

Whapi.Cloud only stores minimal data related to API interactions, such as:

  • Log Data: We collect technical data such as request logs, timestamps, and metadata for debugging and improving our services. This data does not include the content of messages exchanged through WhatsApp or DialogFlow.
  • API Token Information: Your API token is stored securely to authenticate and facilitate interactions between WhatsApp and DialogFlow.

3. Third-Party Services

The DialogFlow service is operated by Google, and as such, all message processing and natural language understanding occur on their platform. Whapi.Cloud serves as an intermediary to enable communication between WhatsApp and DialogFlow. We do not control how Google collects or processes data, and we encourage you to review their Privacy Policy for information on how they handle data.

4. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we store, such as API logs and metadata, from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. While no system is completely secure, we are committed to ensuring the highest standards of data protection for our customers.

5. Your Rights and Control

As a user of Whapi.Cloud, you maintain full control over the integration with DialogFlow. Since we do not store message content, there is no data available for retrieval, correction, or deletion from our servers. Any data related to bot conversations is managed by DialogFlow, and you can configure how that data is processed or stored directly within the DialogFlow console.

6. Data Retention

We retain minimal log data for a period of up to 90 days for the purposes of debugging and service improvement. This data is automatically deleted after the retention period. Any data processed by DialogFlow is subject to Google’s retention policies.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the DialogFlow integration, or applicable laws. Any updates will be posted on our website, and we encourage you to review the policy periodically.
